At first, we don’t think it’s vital that each of our categories can have differences in performance.

It depends mostly on the product information. Users select and reject products based upon the information available about those items in the product list. It’s, therefore, isn’t all that surprising that during our large-scale usability study of Product Lists & Filtering, we found out that poorly chosen items to have usability issues related to product navigation.

If the products of a particular category perform better than others, and the store is able to sell the products in large scale with high efficiency, then the category is certainly worth emphasizing.

Facilitating these categories will have better visibility resulting in a higher purchase order.
